First song in a while. Please listen!

I've been gone a while! But, it's good to be back. I've been working on this one for a while and I'm happy to say that it's ALMOST complete. It needs some vocals and honestly some lyrics, too. I'm not going to tell you what I used to record unless you ask because, if you ask me, it kind of takes the magic out of it. I had to compress it to 128 Kbps to make it fit on SoundClick but it's still at 192 Kbps on the other link. Listen to which ever you like... But you'll only be able to download from SoundClick.

Can you post it somewhere else (Soundclick, etc.)? That site was a bit confusing. Once I figured out how to download your file, it looks like it only downloaded the download page and tried to play it (probably the same thing that happened to Decipha). I never got to listen to it.

Hhhhmmm...the guitars are too distorted for my taste. Just sounded like fizz to me. I'd really have to listen on in my studio but I don't have internet on my DAW. I think, perhaps, that you could have backed off on the gain a lot. But maybe the sound that you have now is what you were going for.

Well, fizz was not what I was going for. But, I don't really hear fizz... I think that maybe the highs could be cut a bit and it would be okay. And the 128 Kbps compression didn't help any. The overall outcome is very close to what I was going for. I agree that there was a lot of gain but it wasn't any more than I usually use and my other projects are okay. I think I'll experiment with the highs and see what I come up with.

x2 sounds like the bass is cut

snare has a tad too much reverb for me

guitar could be turned down a tiddy bit
