My Bands First 'Single'

OK, so we are nearly done mixing our album. Been working on it a couple of months now... We have just pout up the first 'single' on our website/myspace etc... Be cool if I could get a few comments from you guys... that's probably a bad idea as we're really pleased with it and you'll all be able to find a million probs with it - but that's what it's all about I guess!!

Anyway enough talk here's the link:

Very nice song. Captures a lot of elements of both guitar and synth based rock.
Catchy tune with a nice melodic flow. Good lead singer.
All the best !!! I bookmarked your website, and will check out more of your tunes.

i dont listen to rock but i enjoyed it, sounds a little distorted though, best way i can explain it is though, it sounds as if it was a recording of a recording

I like the vocal in its style and sound. Very nice band performance overall. Good mixing during the gtr solo at 5:00 as it stands out without having to be too loud. My only criticism is that the the low end of the mix sounds too compressed like it was hit really hard with a multiband below 250 Hz... the bass gtr and kick have a splat to the tone.

Vocals - I like the way they are mixed level with the instruments but eq'd so as to be totally comprehendible.

The rhythm guitars are a bit mushy for my taste. I think there's a bit too much bass guitar.

Tim had some good comments that I'd suggest for next time.

Writing and performance are great....very 80's sound to it all.....
