Question

Connected with digital coax. I know what I need to do with the VS880, but it's not recognizing the SB Live. Any thoughts?

sound blaster

I'm not sure if you're using the live drive with your 880 if you are have you configured the live drive properly thro' the surround mixer . let me know how you get on
heres another idea if you're using the live drive , try the optical in or out as it has both and I believe the are on all the time
i had hell of a game working out how to get the spdif working on mine as well so you're not alone!!!

SBLive! only outputs 48kHz...

...So you have to create a new song @ 48kHz on the VS before it wil lock up. If you want it to lock up @ 44.1kHz you need some kind of sample-rate converter thing-a-ma-jig. I use a DATPort USB box for digital transfers in and out of Cool Edit Pro.
