4 channel pre

I have a Vintech 473i and I was trying to find another 4 channel pre to take the place of the 4 pre's in the digi002, I don't need anything as expensive as the vintech but I would like something with some color.

I agree the ISA428 is a great sounding pre.

Another one to look at would be the Sytek MPX-4Aii .

How about the Sytek MPX-4Aii at $889?
For 10 bucks more they throw in Burr-Brown Op-Amps in channels 3 and 4!

I luv's muh Sytek, but keep in mind its channels 3&4 are colored w/ the iron (BurrBrowns), while channels 1&2 seem quite clean (wysisyg- what you see is what you get).

So only 2 channels of color, not 4, if'n that makes a difference.

Sorry NL5 I was referring to the Focusrite ISA and Sytek. Both are well respected...but colored?

Phones, as Fishmed recommends, you should look into the Meek stuff (it is green) and the ISA (it is blue)--depending on what color you are after.

I recind my Sebatron recommendation--it is a cream color--probably not enough color for you.

Burr Brown don't make transformers, they make IC's so I suspect someone's getting their component names mixed up. Their Syteks probably contain Burr Brown opamps.

Unless of course the tiny little legs on the dip8 package are made of "iron".
