MXL 993 or AKG Perception 150

I'm looking to get some condensers mainly for overhead mics for drums, but they will be used for acoustic guitar as well. I'm fairly new to recording, and will just be recording in my basement for fun, so the mics dont need to be high end studio quality. Is the price difference between these mics worth it? I'm on a pretty tight budget. I will be recording through a presonus firepod into my computer, if that makes a difference at all. Thanks. oh and if anyone has any other suggestions that are in that price range that'd be cool too. Ideally i want a matched pair of condensers.

I'd take the perceptions any day. They're pretty nice. You might also look into some CAD M177s - 70 dollars each w/shockmount on Musician's Friend.
