IF id said it before, I said it a million times....close mic it with that 58 (take the pop screen off and get it real close so the proximity effect will kick in..compress it pretty good ....put the neumann about 18 inches away with no eq or compression...mix those two babies together.....magic.....even better, get 2 neumanns and stereo mic them at 18 inches.....

Is it a long one or short?
Is it a lot of high or low freq in it?
