Tascam DP-01

I recently received my dp-01 and it will not playback what I record. I can hear it while recording in the headphones, the meter bars are working, but no playback. Anybody? Anybody at all?

I had one of those units and that never happened to me. Not sure what it could be, but I would look at:

Are you getting meter movement while playing back? If not, you may not have the tracks armed properly, so you're not recording anything. If you are, check to make sure the correct fader is up, the volume knob is set correctly, etc.

I too would question whether the tracks are properly turned on during recording......

the dp-01 (fx etc.) has two sets of meters......on the left are the input meters for left and right mic or line inputs.....to the right are the eight track inputs....you can have the input bars/meters showing activity without any of the eight tracks armed......make sure that the meters are working in both sides of the display and your input will record!
