help me with cubase se3!
ok so i installed cubase se3 on my windows xp laptop. installed the drivers and everything. ok...so i hook up my firepod to my laptop and hook up a studio monitor to it. i enable the record button on cubase and hook up my rode nt1a mic to input 1 and it picks up my voice and sends it out the studio monitor. it also shows on the firepod that it has connectivity because it clips when i yell into the mic. my problem is, when i hit record...it shows a strip that indicates something was recorded. but when i play it back to hear it, nothing happens, no sound. (btw i DID engage the phantom power button 1-4 for the phantom powered rode mic.) how do i get this stuff to record/playback???

You have to set up the inputs in Cubase.
Look in the help files and the manual... its in there. BTW: Great free Cubase manual at www.auxbuss.com (CubaseSX Complete PDF Book - yes, it works with se3 too...) |
