mic to ozone keyboard

im havin trouble learning how to record wit my mic. i bought an mxl mic with the cables and an m-audio ozone midi control (keyboard). i was told that i can connect the mic to the keyboard then... the keyboard to my pc wit a usb cable. then im ready to record. im using audacity to record but it seems like the program isnt reading the mic. like, how do i record?? ive been having this problem for quite awhile now. can someone help? any advice? and what other programs are good to record vocals with? thanx

Do you have the Ozone's phantom power turned on? Does the Ozone show up as soundcard in your Multimedia control panel (assuming Windows here)? In Audacity, have you selected the Ozone as your input device?
