Explanation/description of drum sounds/sizes/depths
Does anyone know a website were it describes how differnt depths/woods/shell thickness etc all affect the sound of the drum?

In general, I think thicker shells resonate less than thin, and deeper shells are louder with lower pitch. |

You'll find a basic explanation here http://www.drumdojo.com/tech/shelldesign.htm ...........however, this can only be regarded as the basics as there are numerous factors that will affect the sound from a specific shell.
