what is the difference between studio foam and the foam that you can get at wallmart that you put on your bed?

i know there is a difference but..is there that much of a difference?

the bed foam is more reflective, the cells are tighter and it sucks as acoustic treatment. but then again, so does Auralex!

if you want it to sound good, check these guys out before you look into wasting, i mean spending your money on foam: http://atsacoustics.com/

you're probably not gonna get as much surface coverage for the money, but the broadband absorption is what you really need, especially in a small space. get 4 of the 24x48x4" panels and put one in each corner of the room. if you can't afford all that, then just get 2 and put em in the front corners. or save up! it'll be worth it.

or if you are in a more spendy mood and want the absolute best, check out http://www.realtraps.com/
