Midi
im new at this and this is probably a stupid question but what program should i use to record what i play on my keyboard ... i hooked it up to my laptop with a midi wire but it didnt come with a program.... thansks for the help

If you're on a budget, most people will tell you reaper. I haven't used it yet, but I downloaded the trial version on my laptop last week. It's cheap, and reading through the reviews and on the cockos site, I almost wish I wouldn't have spent the money on Cubase. Although, if you go to KVR audio and do a search for free sequencers, there are a few there that might work, not to mention a lot of free VSTi's...
