In three words... GET IT NOW!!

If nothing major is wrong with this thing (and even that can be fixed), it's worth it. Expect some minor servicing like contact spray, fader lube etc .... but yeah, he's basically giving away a really nice board.

Even if you don't need it, get it anyway, if you have room. Deals like this, especially local, just don't come along often.

The inclusion of the power supply and service manual makes it all the more sweet!

It's a $20,000 board (in today's money) that he's selling for 50 bucks. I hope he knows what he's doing. But don't tell him!

Yes, it's worth much more than 50 bones, if the mixer is in decent condition. Those things can fetch upward of 1K (or more) in today's marketplace, which I'd still consider a deal. Problem is not too many model 15's out-there so it's hard to gauge prices but as far as functionality, built & sound quality, features and routing capability, the model 15 is really worth a lot more than used prices indicate.

To say that I like the pres means nothing. I think that's a question only you can answer. It's a subjective thing and also depends on the condition of the unit. Heck, for $50 bucks I'd call up the owner asap to shedule a viewing and check it out. I know of a lot of guys, myself included, on the Analog Only forum (below), who would feel very fortunate to find a good condition model 15 with the power supply and service manual for $50 and on top of that LOCAL!

I think youre overthinking this! For $50 just get it and keep it in the corner of your studio. People will see it and and think you actually use it for something and be impressed

But I mean, I dont know what your current setup is like. If I came across one of those right now id definitely get it and find a way to incorporate into my setup, just because I dont have a mixer and id like to learn to use one...

But if you dont have room for it, dont have a use for it, and dont have the patience to try to fix it up and resale it.. then I dont really know what to say

But if you havent gotten it by now, it seems to me that the person surely has already sold it? Maybe not

This place is better than craiglist.

I talked to the owner and he said that he has been getting calls like crazy the last day and a half. He has a pending offer but will get back to me if it falls thru.

If any of you want it I wont be upset. I posted the link with the sellers info.

That's why I told you to "GET IT NOW" on the very day you posted, which would have been Saturday, the 19th. I feel I let you down somehow, that my powers of conviction failed me...

Then don't let it slip away, if it's in decent condition.
