Anything I should know before I start?

My softqware just arrived in the mail. now i am gonna need to buy some more cables and make some computer modifications befor ei can set up my studio but i have beenwarned that cubase is really hard to get the hang of and i am rather intimidated. is there anything you can tell me to start me off, things you have learned in the priocess or things i shoudl be aware of?

The manual is your friend, dont forget about it.
Cubase is not hard to pick up.
I dont know where you heard that but it aint true.
Ive tried a number of software programmes for audio and I found Cubase to be one of the easiet. Especially for editing.
It kicks Pro Tools ass for editing IMO. So much faster and easier.

cool... which version did you get??? i'm on C4 myself... i think you'll find alotta guys using it... the cubase forums are a great source of info if ya can get past the bitching.... dont let that scare ya... realize most people that are ahving a good time with it dont bother to post... only the disgruntled and the trolls bother... if you check around here you'll find tha travis in florida has a bit of a beginers guide he's been working on... dont be afraid to ask...
