Roland Fantom Series

Any reviews from the Peanut Gallery?

My Sound Canvas is getting on in years and seems more like a Smithsonian Exhibit than a working Synth Module.

This looks like Roland's Idea of a Direct Replacement with some extra juice.

Sound canvas was generally marketed to the home hobbyist, the fantom is a pro machine all the way. BTW Doc, they have an entry level Fantom Xa going new for $899, I got my eye on that one.

Where'd you see that at? I'm looking at Roland for another board but I don't think my wife will let me get one considering how much I had to go through for my Triton and Motif.

HA! I know the feeling, only way I got it was I had to let fate happen and let this girl who was high on coke run a light and hit me at 40 MPH

So despite all the back pain and neck I've endured, Its nice of her to have finish equiping my studio for me !

BTW I love my fantom xr rack.

a buddy of mine got the big 88key one and loves it... i've played it some and while i prefer my kurz for pianos and some others... i found it's pretty nice board all-in-all... gotta admit i've never really been a fan of rolands myself...
