How can i make my git. farer?

Hey, i find my guitar too near. This wav. is without any compression, or eq (just a few little changes in eq). Have you got any idea how can i make my guitar sounds interesting? When i try to add some echo, or reverb it sounds horrible. By the way I am 'adobe' user.

Typically you'd add a little reverb or delay to make something sound farther away. Or turn the volume down. Those are pretty much the only way to make something sound further away.

Is the cab miced or is it Direct In.
If the cab is miced try pulling the mic back farther to get some of the room.

Minimize any amp noise you may be picking up; that tends to make it sound close-miked and therefore close regardless of what else you do to it.

Back off a little on the mic, turn down the amp volume, and maybe cut a little in the high freqs (distance is usually not as crisp in the high end).

I'd EQ it and take some of the bottom out, add a touch of delay and start there. Think about what a guitar sounds like from far away. It would have less definition, less punch, less focus and of course, it would be quieter.

Poor OP...the last three posts give the following recommendations: 1)Cut the highs, B)Cut the lows, and, III)Cut the mids.

I say he combine all three and just mute the whole track.

Exactly ^^. I cannot record it once again, so advices like 'set your mike not so near' are uselessness (i will try it one day, but not on this track). So which freq. cut, and which boost? Compress anything ? How ?
Of course i am trying different ways, and reading opinions, and even topics on this forum :P, but I just want to hear your opinion on this exactly piece of song.

Put a slight delay on it and cut out everything after 7khz. That'll make it sound far away. Experiment with all the ideas offered here.

I gave it a quick listen. Here's a few things to try for starters...

First, you have a nasty ring with a fundamental around 880Hz, +/- 5 Hz. I'd get rid of that first before doing anything else. Try a deep, narrow cut at 880 followed by a more mild staircased harmonic filter starting at the same frequency. Add a bit of a notch at 4.4kHz to level out a presence peak there.

Second, throw a very shallow-sloped high-pass filer in there that knees around 500-600Hz and gives you about -15dB (give or take a few dB) at 20Hz.

Next, drop the overall volume down a good 4-10dB (to taste).

Verb to taste, if you wish. But you got something happening with your distortion phasing that doesn't seem to take verb very well; even after EQing most of the ringing out as mentioned earlier, the few reverbs I tested on this sound more ringy or spring reverbish than normal, and far more than I like.

i noticed something funky with the phasing too.

that ringing (at the end of the clip) is the tremolo block. he can tuck some foam between the tremolo block and body to kill that next time around. if that doesn't kill it all, put some between the tremolo springs and body too. last resort, add more behind the nut.

Hey, i`ve made this-> www.gdynia.mm.pl/~krzyfn/TraficInstructions.mp3
Could you advise me how to set EQs ? What to do with vocals ? I know that it is sometimes against the beat and sounds very poor, but we are not rich people and we can`t afford to better instruments, soundcard and all this things which make song lively and cool.
Vocals are changed in first verse, next is without any changes.
Today afternoon i will add all vocals (now im just tired ^^).
This is only demo (drums will be added at monday).
Cheers.
