at first i wasn't sure wtf i was supposed to do with SIR, but once i got a bunch of the really good Lexicon impulses, it really sounds amazing! GlaceVerb is a great free reverb too, but with some good impulses, SIR really blows it away.

Are the impulses a kind of Lexicon or are they a trace of a Lexicon or what?

they are impulses taken from an actual Lexicon effects unit. they sound surprisingly good.
