UA-30 also a S/PDIF converter?

Greetings,

The UA-30 has got both coaxial and optical S/PDIF in/outs for hooking up to the USB-port, but is it also possible to use the unit as a coaxial/optical S/PDIF-converter? I mean: coaxial S/PDIF IN to optical S/PDIF OUT or vice versa?
Any information on this would be much appreciated.
