live band recording prices and samples...

I do live gig recordings. Im wondering what your area charges for similar service. In my area I believe I am the least expensive. I charge $600.00 for 4 hour local gig, 24 track digital recording, up to 14 songs fully mixed. This includes all materials, setup and teardown time .
Here is MY link below.

There are some others in my area but I dont know their rates. I have heard there work at some band web sites. Here are some links.

I don't know if it's just me but the audio samples took a while to startr & the vid - slow as...
If it's your profession & gear I'd say $600 to record & hand them the raw files, more for tape, and an unmix stereo of the gig. Charge for mixing should be on a p/hour basis - you won't know what you need to do to fix it in the mix until you start it - at a discount if x hours are book with the gig.

Rayc,

I charge 600 bucks for total project finished. Just my hobby, I have a day job. I'll check the video and tunes. They should load fine but thanks, I'll check them

I feel I can set a fixed price and make out well as I spend a lot of time on the first songs mix, setting a templete for drums vocals etc. Setting up where I want compression/limiting or what have you. I mean everything is the same for the night. Its not like in the studio where anything may change. Once the band is set up hit record and go. The drums should be consistant for the night as far as where I'll need compression and same for vocals and guitars. Once I have the first tune dialed in ,its easy. All I have to do is adjust each song a little and bingo. But see, my deal is for 14 songs of my mix. If the band wants to alter then its per hour after that. This way I dont get hosed into a never ending project. I have been amazed at what company in my area charge and the very poor quality they produce. And these are "pro's"

Just becuase a studio is commercial doesnt neceseraly mean that the quality is pro quality.
Alot of studios around my area, Ayrshire/Glasgow dont produce pro quality. But to get pro quality you need pro musicians and you need to spend alot of time getting each instrument sounding pro. This takes up alot of time and alot of bands have a srict budget to work with so they rather go for the quantity rather than quality.
