Midi Keyboard - tune to 432 hz?

Hello.... This may be a stupid question but I have no clue if this can be done. I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e and I need to calibrate/tune it to 432 hz. I am using Logic Express if that helps at all. Can this be done with this type of keyboard? Many thanks for any info.

That is a controller I think, so it makes no sound. Your source may be able to, but that keyboard cant at least I highly doubt it. Are you playing softsynths?? Perhaps tha softsynth can do it. What are you using for softsynths/sounds?

The M-Audio Keystation 49e is a controller and has no sounds on board. You'd have to tune the pitch down in whatever you are actually using for your sound, whether it be a hardware tone module or a virtual synth/sampler. That should be no problem, but sometimes the amount of tuning allowed can be limited. 432 hz is pretty extreme, and it is possible that you won't be able to go that far away from 440.

That said, if you are sequencing, you could send a pitch bend message to the synth/sampler (not the M-Audio Keystation 49e) to alter the tuning. You'd have to figure out which pitch bend message to get the desired pitch, but that's definitely another way to do it. Continuous controller messages are your friend!

Ok d00des. Many thanks for the help. I was not being very logical in my way of thinking. Duh....Its in the softsynth. There was basically a "tuning" knob that allowed me to adjust the tone. You guys pointed me in the right direction. Thanks!
