Exclamation Suggestions for new guitar...

So I'm thinking about getting a new guitar...
My first concern is that this guitar has a whammy/tremelo bar...
I want a guitar that sounds decent and has good action.
24 frets would also be very nice, but I can do without..
I'm looking for a guitar under $400...

I'm definitely considering the schecter C-1 FR....it's 50 bucks above my price range, which sucks...but it seems like a great guitar. Any comments?

Thanks for the help!

Check out the Godin Performance Series, made in Canada. You can buy these most places 30%-35% of list.

I play a Godin LG SP90, and it is a very, very nice guit.

Click on the "Dealer Listing" on their website and click on a State. I paid about $450 for my LG three years ago. You will need to contact the dealers for quotes.

My main guitar is an Ibanez RG170 which is in your price range. It's feel is amazing and I am constantly amazed at its sound. Very fast action. Has a whammy bar and 24 frets.

When I was in a band my guitarist had a very cool Godin electirc. It would have been perfect for jazz, but for heavy music or just all over playing, its tone was way too mellow and soft. I can't speak for all Godins though as that is the only one I have played.

Godin is a great company. First thing you have to think about is that they're made from Canadian hardwood. Any other company in the price range you are looking at are made from tropical hardwoods. Not as high quality. Also they are made in Canada not in a sweat shop in Korea or Indonesa. The people that are making them pay more attention to detail. They also have some cool new models out that play really fast. They also have models with EMG 81's and 85's in them.
