DIY Ribbon Microphone Plans
I'm not a newbie to recording, but I'm a newbie to this group, so I thought some of you would be interested in a DIY Ribbon Microphone Tutorial.
I was about to order a "Brand N" Chinese Ribbon Mic, but as I looked into it, I decided that I could probably build one. It sounded great, so I built another one, photographed everything and wrote a step-by-step instruction manual for the DIY community on how to build your own Ribbon Microphone. The resulting AUSTIN Ribbon Mic tutorial has a Bill of Materials, with direct links to online stores so you can order the parts online or get them locally, plus over 40 photos and illustrations which detail every step. Sound samples, photos and testimonials are posted on the page below. It's getting some very good reviews on other recording/pro audio boards, so I thought I'd post it here too. Check it out at: www.RickshawRecords.com/ribbonmic Thanks! - Rick |
