Has anyone here actually ordered a mechanical, heavier part from TASCAM (Montebello, CA) parts, something other than the typical belts etc ... ? I ask 'cause I wish to enquire as to their protective packaging for the more fragile items. How was it ? Thanks!

tascam packing
i just had my 424 shipped twice, there and back from clevo, hio. my packing was better, but im in the shipping biz. their packing was o.k. buuble wrap and styrofoam. no damage at all. they use repaks not new cartons. thats the only thing i would be concerned about. you would think they would have new cartons, and maybe they do. ask for one.

Thanks for that. Yeah, I'm mainly thinking if they use boxes and sufficient padding for their bulkier parts.
