Hardware

I want to start making my own beats mostly Hip Hop and breakbeat, I want a hardware rig based around a Synth,Sampler and Sequencer this is where I start to get confused, Do I need a multitrack recorder to hook them all up ? if not what do I need ?

This is the sort off rig I was thinking off but please tell me were I'm going wrong.

Korg,microKorg
Yamaha,RM1x(sequening only)
Akai,S950
Yamaha,AW16G

Thanks for looking

Rob
PS and Help or suggestions is most appreciated
