QUICK QUESTION: HOW MUCH DO YOU GUYS SELL YOUR FULL LENGTH CD FOR . . .
--AT SHOWS --IN RECORD STORES --OUT THE TRUNK I;m curisous cuz I just had this conversation with this dude and he was like . . . "Jay Z's sellin his for $10 - . . now unless you're hotter than he is - act accordingly . . . Any who agree with this line of thought? Disagree?

where the is Jay Z sellin his album for $10? at Best Buy to get more sales ..come on that cd retails between $18.99 - $21.99 depending where u buy it from....
i know i usually pay $10 at shows and out of trunks...in stores for indie artist $10.99 - $12.99 max anything higher people debate if they should get it JMO

I sell mine for $10 at shows. Full length LP's, anyway... EP's are $8.
In retail stores, I let the retail manager mark up the price whatever they need to above my demands. I want $8 return on my retail sales. Some stores place me at $10.99 and some place me at $12.99. I make sure I don't go over $12.99 anywhere though. And yeah... Jay-Z isn't pushing units at $10 anywhere other than the major retailers in his first week of sales. After that, It's $14.99 and above.

shows: $10 LP, $5 EP, all 3 of my albums for $18
stores: online/paypal $10 LP, $5 EP -- digital/mp3 $7.99 trunk: $5-$10 depending on who they are. i've traded a few albums for albums as well.
