I need ideas/inspiration...anyone?

Ok. So I was working in Fruity Loops and I wanted to make something like a "club" beat, that would and could be played without vocals. So.. I came up with a couple ideas, but to me, both of them are pathetic and they need work.

I need some ideas of how to spice them up.. so hit me up with ideas.. here are the two links

EDIT: Unless you have a subwoofer, the effect isn't the same. Unfortunately you can't hear the bassline, unless you do. If you don't have a subwoofer, it shows up somewhat on some good treble speakers

On the first one the melody is MAD I tell you MAD!!!!...first of all you need a better drum kit...that rim shot is killing it for me fam. If you had a better kit you wouldnt have to layer your drums as much as you do. ........Now on to advice:

FIRST BEAT

1.) The shakers need to be replaced by a crazy azz hi hat pattern, believe it or not if you look closely people nod to the hatz and NOT the kick...hats are KEY

2.) That bass is kinda distorted clear it up a little bit

3.) Through some strings in there along the way with a backround melody

4.) You need some quick hits. When I say that Im talking bout a POP POP POP type of deal with say a pizzi or laser...or something like that.

5.) Lastly YOUR FEELINGZ

OVERALL...Im kinda feeling it so far can be better though, you can do it

SECOND

At first start you lost me. This beat has your name on it with a stamp. Its harder for me to critique because its not my style...but I can see where this could be good..but for starters take the LONG intro out and come out the gate punching fuggerz in the mouth ya dig

Well homey, I did what I could to the first one to spice it up a bit, and I added some things.

Tell me what you think. I love the new snare, it's wetter, and sounds so much nicer. In my opinion anyway.

What do you think I need to do to it now?

Ok Ok MUCH better, however the strings...try a different more basic melody to compliment the main melody...also change the sound of the string its not cupping the beat very well...its like the beat is the cool laid crew(ME lol) and then some stringz come in and fug up the groove

First things first, the song errors on play from the website.

Secondly, the zip doesn't open anything but the noises, but the project doesn't open up. No matter what i do, I don't know wha tyou did, but, daaang

--Re-Lapse

EDIT: Scratch that, the song plays on the site, but the zip thing still doesn't work.

But I'm away from my Sub so I"ll have to check your version out tomorrow. but from what I can tell, it's pretty fly. Thanks man.
