Question

I have been working on a couple of songs on my akai for a little while now and I have noticed something strange. When I create a new project at 24bit/48hz I can play back 16 tracks at a time. The meter that (I guess) tells you cpu usage doesn't max out or anything. It works just like 16bit mode.

I have played back 16 tracks while using all 4 effects and a few eq's. Has anybody else done this?

At first I was worried, but I guess it is pretty cool. I don't have to bounce down as much.

I am going to try recording a song at 24/96 and see how many tracks I can get.

Question

and by the way, what do you record at anyway?

and can you tell a difference in 16 and 24bit?

or between 41, 48, & 96kHz?
