Here's another Song...

Time Moves On
Lyrics written by Henry Duthler

Look how we’ve changed
Throughout these years
So Many memories
So many tears
And all of these feelings
We’re unable to hide
These are our reasons
To say our goodbyes

Chorus:

And Time Moves on
And quickly slips away
Like the dark of night into dawn
And another seasons begun
And our times been washed away
Fading embers in a storm

Look at us now
It’s been a year
The worst is behind us
The way is so clear
We’ve chosen our paths
Not knowing what we’d find
And the sun will rise again
In it’s own time

(Chorus)

Bridge:
We change like the seasons
Against our will
Never knowing the reasons
Hoping someday we will
For every twist of fate
A leap of faith is made
And for every road we’ve taken
Lies a path we’ve strayed

Very nice. You might want to look at the chorus. Quite a profusion of metaphors in there.

The Chorus

Yeah, it might be better if it were simpler...with less metaphors...But I really like the line, "Fading Embers In A Storm"

You know, I just read your lyrics to "The Eternal Fire".

That song and this seem to be alternate workings of the same idea.

Or am I wrong?

This one was actually written first...but The Eternal Fire was specifically written for a friend of mine's music...however he didn't use it in the end...how does that saying go....? "Plaguerism is the best form of flattery" Maybe I just needed to feel flattered????? lol Seriously though, they were written at very different times, but do follow a similar train of thought....
