Peluso 2247 Le or other vocal mic?

Has anyone used this mic?? Is it anything like the c12, or is a gimic piece of boat anchor junk? Looking for a vocal mic with a little more warmth than the 4050's I'm using now in the $1000-$2000 range. Thoughts are welcome...

Peluso mics are awesome and the 2247 in particular is a stellar sounding mic regardless of the price.

They may not be every one's cup of tea, but they are certainly not a gimic piece of boat anchor junk.

The pelusos are good mics. If you're looking for a c12 flavored mic, the P12 is the one you want.

I use one for all my vocals at home. It is an awesome mic! Did you see that one for sale on www.gearslutz.com ? They are asking 1500
