Actual size of VS2400CD? Desk/workstation issue....

Hi all...

I'm having trouble finding a definitive answer on what the actual size of this unit is. Particularly the depth and width. I don't have one yet...it ships tomorrow.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a desk/studio workstation that this thing will fit on...the estimates I've seen on the internet put the unit at about 20" x 20" square (or very nearly). I'm hardpressed to find a workstation to accommodate it's depth. I really want a two-tiered desk; a wide work surface for the VS and about 20" or so leftover for a MicroKorg...and a second tier for a flatscreen LCD monitor and two small to medium powered monitors.

How do you guys have yours setup?

I found this workstation and love it, but I'm not sure even it can hold it.
Studio RTA Creation Station at Musicians Friend

I'd ideally like to set it up to either the left or right side...but the factory (Studio RTA) said the distance between the vertical panels is 16-17 inches, and the depth from the front of the desk to where the vertical panels start is JUST under 19" Think it'd work? I really like this desk, and it's the right price, size, and configuration.

The footprint of my VS2400 is 19 x 19 the height is about 4.5 in back and 3.25 in front. I would think that you might want 3-6 inches clearance in the back for incoming and out going connections.

Thank you, Doug.

I'm actually all set. I'm using one of our computer desks and it's a perfect fit for it. But this thing is hell to fit on a regular workstation desk LOL.

I understand what you mean. I had to build my own desk to fit it. Now I have out grown the desk. Here is a pic.

Yo Hoops:

Pretty nice looking set-up. Those speaker stands look like they came out of an ancient music temple or from the inside of a pyramid. Very cool and mystic.

Your neat set-up kind of makes my Hornet recording room look like a hive of wires and stands.

Congratulations.

Green Hornet BTW: You're up in Blue Bear land. If you see Bruce, say hello for me. GH

LOL! I didn't even think of how they looked. My mom had one at her place to hold a vase. I said to her that it is the perfect hight for monitors. So that Christmas I got two of them for presents.

Bruce lives 3 hours away from me but it would be cool to see his studio.
