just need opinions

what do you think of the lyrics? the music? the singing?

the songs called "in your face"

thanks:music

Lyrics:

so many girls, around the world, just looking 4 some one to love
they feel like no one want them to be around
make a sound

why do we all look with our eye's closed
why can't we all show our open souls?

cat and mouse, well leave the house cuz we don't love, it's lost without a trace.
till the day you turn around, and it's staring you in the face,
just staring u in the face.
in the face

Nick,

I love the music. The chords and rhythm are nice. You might want to get a little vocal training though. Your voice definitely has potential. Well done.

Nice effort. I would change two things if it were mine. The 37 seconds of intro before there is any vox seems a bit lengthy for my taste. I would also bring your voice up in the mix. I like the song and the arrangement. Keep it up.

It needs a bit of mixing work. The voice and guitar are blended together in the same frequencies and neither has much definition. I couldn't make out more than half the words while listening without the lyrics. The vocals are a large part (if not the largest part) of any song and they need to be heard and understood.

Now back for my second listen with the lyrics displayed...

Good writing - the lyrics are very good.

The verses seem pretty solid musically but the section here:
why do we all look with our eye's closed
why can't we all show our open souls?

seems to need the melody tightened up a bit. You don't seem as definite on the melody line there. Sounds like you are trying to sing along to the chords a bit....Maybe it's a bit low for your range....

With just a little work you're good to go with this one.

I definitely like the writing on this......
