Presonus Firestation interface

I have a presonus firestation firewire interface I would like to sell or trade. The interface is in excellent condition. The only reason I'm selling is because i need pro-tools compatibility.

I upgraded the firmware so it works with OSX and XP.

What's nice about this unit is that it also works as a standalone A/D/A converter, or even a line mixer; no computer needed. It would be a great way to get an extra 8 analog lines going into your rig via lightpipe.

-8 analog in/8 out
-ADAT lightpipe and SPDIF I/O
-midi interface as well

if you need to know more, just ask. I'm on the good-guys list multiple times.

I'm asking $250 shipped conus, but I would prefer a trade for a firewire 1814 or a lightbridge.

much thanks,
Alex

I would recommend keeping it and using it via adat with the fw1814 to give you 16 inputs and 12 outputs in protools.

works for me

yeah, it uses mlan. I haven't had any problems with the mlan itself, but getting the firmware for the firestation was a trick. Once I worked that out, I didn't have any problems with OSX.
