I have disliked all the digital mixers I have previewed, and from reading up a little bit, have come to the conclusion that they are a waste of time right now as far as sound quality goes at this point. But, I would like to hear what any think about analog mixers under $10K. I need 24 channels, more if possible. A good equalization setup would be cool, and lots of sends for effects.

Thank you for your time.

Hmmm... I was trying to remember where I saw prices...

..when I replied to this thread, but it isn't coming back to me.... oh wait... maybe it was the latest issue of EQ or Mix - I thought I saw the advert in there...

(not very helpful... I know...)

I would look for a used Neotek Series II..or a Trident. If you act fast, you can get this one for a great price. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1407512607

There is no website for neotek mixers anymore ( I dont think) They are great boards though if you can find one that has been maintained. Are you looking for one?

No, I actually just acquired one - it's about 20 years old, a 32 channel board with 8 subgroups. Oak trim and leather, a real nice piece of furniture, know what I mean?

I'm trying find a manual for this beast, but have had no luck so far. I can't really find a model number on it either...

If you pull one of the channel strips, there should be a series marker on the baord somwhere. Do you know what model you bought? or was this a blind purchase?

On the back of the console, I did find a number, 8102201. Does that indicate anything at all? I have no idea what model it was. The board was owned by my church and they just replaced it, and pretty much gave the thing to me. The tech guy at church said he may have the manual, but I'm not holding my breath...

your gonna have to pull a channel strip to find out what kind it is..or if you have a pic, you can send it to me, I can try to ID it..If you wanna sell it as well, let me know. But if you can get a pic up, I could help you more. (or if you pull a channel strip)

Guys, have a look at Recording Consoles of the 20th Century..........http://www.recordingconsoles.net/.

Click into "Consoles" and there is a list of manufacturers
and photos of various models. It isn't complete but you may find a pic of your unknown consloe there.

May the force...............
