4x4 USB MIDI interface recommendation

Does anyone know which 4x4 USB MIDI interface is a good one? I checked out the M-audio Midisport and the ESI M4U but I don't know what the differences are. They both look fine to me. Should I also check out other brands? Any recommendations?

I've got an older Midisport 2x2 and an 8x8 I picked up last year. Never had any issues with either unit.

I have a MIDI sport 4x4 and a 2x2.

I had a problem with the 4x4: it wouldn't receive incoming data. Fixed it by connecting it to a USB hub with its own power supply.
However I have also had a problem with the 4x4 'dropping' note-off info. I'm about to disconnect the 4x4 and just use the 2x2.

The 2x2 has a manual switchable direct thru for when the PC is off, which is useful.
