Question

Looking for some low-cost acoustic foam panels/tiles in the Metro Detroit area or a good online solution. I'm guessing the old fashioned egg carton foamy stuff will do the job. I've got about 500 sq ft to cover. Anyone know how much bread I can expect to shell out on that project? Any ideas or input appreciated!!!!

searchengine is on a distinguished road
Question

What are you trying to accomplish? Is this for Recording, Mixing, maybe Rehearsal? Is 500 sq/ft just the walls? Or ceilings and floors also? You may not need 100% coverage and the egg crate foam is overrated.

The studio will be used for mainly rehearsal, but also for some recording. The 500 suare feet is probably closer to 550, and includes the 4 walls and the ceiling. I'm open to any suggestions. Eggy foam is just what I am most used to.

you don't need to cover all the walls, just enough to cut down the reverb time.
cheers
