Cakewalk Music Creator 3 "no MIDI outputs"
Newbie here. Dad3012323 started actually yesterday trying to record a Triton Le Music Workstation keyboard through a MIDI interface (Alesis io2) to a laptop with Cakewalk Music Creator 3. I keep getting an annoying message that I have "no MIDI output chosen" and will therefore not hear any playback. I have tried everything I know. I'm unable to record any tracks until this is resolved.
Any suggestions? Frustrated in Gaithersburg, MD dad3012323@verizon.net (scott) Last edited by dad3012323; 02-02-2007 at 04:46.. |

You need to check Options --> MIDI Device and make sure you have at least one MIDI Output port highlited.
The right panel shows Cakey's MIDI out port, while the left one shows Cakey's MIDI input. I used to have Triton LE back then before I sold it, but I forgot how exactly set it up to work with Sonar. All I can remember is you need to route your Triton LE MIDI Out to port shown in the left panel, and route Cakey's MIDI out to Triton LE MIDI in. In Triton LE, select Sequencer mode, and set each track to respond both incoming MIDI and it's internal MIDI. Hope that helps, ![]() Jaymz
