What interface.....

What interface would the Studio Projects Vtb1 sound better with, The Firebox or the Inspire (both from presonus)

I cant say about the Inspire, but i use the Firebox and can give it 10/10. Superb little unit.

I'm guessing, as they're both made by Presonus you'll be getting the same in the Inspire though..

I use the Inspire, and I've *heard* that the preamps are the same on the two units, but I could be wrong. The preamps on the Inpsire seem good to me, but there's not a ton of gain - probably enough for that mic, though.

With the Inspire, all the controls are in a computer program, while the Firebox has knobs and stuff on the unit itself. Personally, I don't mind using the computer to control the Inspire, because I'm sitting in front of the computer anyway.

It's kind of the same with the Firebox. You have the main control panel which is changed via the computer. That changes things like the pre's output and so on. On the main box itself you have the volume of the 2 main channels, main volume and phones.

Seems they're both the same really mate, i'd go with whatever's cheapest
