I recently bought B&W 602 series studio monitors..
Also bought a DENON amplifier..

Is this setup alright for clear listening?

What do you suggest me?

Hmmm... not sure where you got the "studio monitors" part for the B&Ws, 'cos they are definitely not studio monitors! Both those units, while very good, are geared for the audiophile crowd, and not for studio and recording applications.

That being said, the Denon can still serve quite well, although it probably won't like a +4dbu signal being thrown at it from a mixer (if you are using studio signal levels as opposed to line-level signals typical of the semi-pro gear.)

The majority of speakers geared for home listening (and even the ultra high-end models), usually have been "sweetened" by design and as such, may have a tendency to color your sound inappropriately when making sonic decisions in the studio. But if you adjust your mixes to these colorations, they can still be used, after a reasonable ear-training period.

If you're asking simply for equipment-review sake and not really using the gear for studio applications, then sit back and enjoy - they should sound quite nice!

You seem to know a lot. I am wandering if you know anything about the audix 1a monitors. I have looked all over for a review of these but i cant seem to find one that isnt trying to sell them at the same time. I know a few things about them, and know that they are at least good. However I am thinking of selling them and getting the event 20/20bas. If you could let me know bout the audix speakers that would be great though even if you would reccomend the Events over them.

Sorry... I haven't heard the Audix monitors - I checked their site - they're more pricey than I thought they would be.... but that doesn't mean anything.

You're best off listening to them yourself and making comparisons with other nearfields at the store. Take some CDs of good recordings that you are very familiar with you, and listen to them thru each nearfield.

When I was hunting for nearfields, I compared among others Tannoys and Events. The Tannoys are quite nice, but for my tastes, the Events were the ones that caught my attention.
If you're lucky, a certain pair will stand out for you as you audition them.
