I am interested in learning how to play the bass guitar, and a co-worker of mine has one for sale. I haven't seen the ax yet, but he said it is a "West Dimension 4". No one that I have inquired about this has ever heard of it, but I thought that someone here might be able to offer some input (hopefully favorable) on this matter. The ax has humbucker pickups and comes with a hard shelled case - for $200. The Fender Squire, and an ax made by Ibanez were both selling for the same amount - without the case. So I am in hopes of the West D. to work out for me.

I remember West, I used to have one of their basses, not bad at all. They were around in the late 70's early 80's as I recall. Some of the better ones are one-piece body with coil taps. The economy had a bolt-on neck.
