I have a single headphone output on my Sondcraft SpiritFolio mixer..
My problem is to share that headphone signal into 4 different ins for headphones..( for my vocalbooth )
In my country there is no such equipment and I want to make some kind of rack for hearing and using 4 headphones ins..

Can someone help me find a scheme for that or something?
Where should I look for?
Please mail me immidiately cause it's urgent..
Thanx

Checkout http://www.musiciansfriend.com to save time from making your own. Samson,Furman and Behringer all make multi-input
headphone amps, With Rolls making the least expensive.
The Rolls HA43 4-channel phone amp with individual volume
controls for each channel and sells for US$60.00.

Unhappy ORDER DIFFICULTIES !!!

Pals,
I've checked the Rolls headphone circuit and it looks fine..
Also the prise is alright..But..
I live in Macedonia, Europe and it's too expensive for me to order the item from US cause the taxes and shipping is very expensive here..
Can you suggest me some dealers in my nearest country or is it possible some of you guys to buy me that ROLLS item so I can pay the prise to you.. ( avoiding the ordering and high shipping expences).
Then it can be sent to me in a ordinary package..

If someone can help me in this or has a better idea , please mail me freely ..

aalek@hotmail.com
Thanx,Alexander

If you can find a Crate SM5-HP buy it! It's much like the Rolls (same basic price range), but it provides 5 headphone channels (vs 4). It has both a stereo TRS and mono TS input. But more important - much less noise.

I had a Rolls, and although it did the job I'm much more satisfied with the Crate.

Just a heads-up on ROLLS...

It's a headphone amp so it's not critical, but be aware that (my opinion!) Rolls has one of THE WORST quality control reputations.... a couple of years back, I bought a simple MidiBuddy footpedal - went thru 5 of them in a week 'cos they continually broke down (it was bad circuitry, not a mechanical problem).

Once bitten, twice shy - but if they can't even get a simple midi footpedal to work properly, they sure as hell aren't going to be any better at more sophisticated gear.

At any rate - all their gear is pretty much considered sub-standard to mediocre at best - they are not geared towards a pro market, placing a good notch or two below Behringer.... oh and Bellari, is their "high-end" label - re-packaged Rolls stuff only you get to pay more for it.

It's certainly a less than ideal situation, but I've gotten by with multiple headphones by running from the mixer's tape output to anything with rca ins, outs, and a headphone out. You can daisy chain them to supply headphone mixes to as many things as possible. Another mixer, a couple of old stereo receivers, a tape deck in record ready mode, a boombox...

This, too, is considered to be a few notches below professional. It does work though. The caveat is that you would only use this method if you have these other components laying around. If you have to buy anything, it might as well be the headphone amp.
