Hey, cephus! Peavey Sighting!

Hey, cephus, I thought of you last night when I saw a Peavey Rotor guitar at Toys-R-Us for $99!

Hey, that's great! I don't know what it is, but Peavey is known for bang for the buck, so it must be kick ass.

I was going to start a thread that I'd seen a Carvin in a dumpster behind Guitar Center, but it turns out it was a Cort. Near miss.

They're pretty cool looking. The one at TRU is a miniature, kinda like those tiny Flying Vs.

I trust no flame tops that cost less than $1000. Gotta be a candy-covered turd.

They gotta try to start that brand loyalty as early as possible.

They can't even get country acts to play 'em anymore.

You should check it out next time you're up Castleton way.

I can't even make it to all the real guitar stores I want to in the amount of time I usually have when I'm over there. Since I have no other reason to go there, TRU is the last place on my list. I gotta make it to GC, IRC, Sam Ash, Guitars & More, Best Buy, CompUSA, and Half Price Books (to see what CDs the have).

Still haven't found my headphones yet. How pathetic is that?

You should move closer to me. That'd give you more time to visit those stores. When you move you find a bunch of stuff.

I've got stuff that's still in boxes from the last time I moved, and that was 14 years ago!

Besides, my wife would never go for moving to Hassleton. She hates that place. She's an anti-shopper (except for books, magazines, CDs and DVDs). She likes where we are. Quiet, not much traffic, close to work. And she hates moving. She hates change in general. I guess I'm locked in for life.

It's a mini-rotor. I can't find anything about on the web.

It's like one of these mini-strats.

I have one. I tune it up 1 1/2 steps so when I play in E, it's G. I used it at my last gig and I think it sounded really YOW! I said "Someone asked me if I'd play a little guitar tonight...." Mine is black. I like the red one, though. It's not as junky as like an affinity strat or walmart starcaster, but it's pretty junky. IT does play pretty well and it sounds really nasally and snarly. I liked it, though. I'll bring it out every time to play on songs in G, C or F

'a little guitar'

You did have the drummer do a rimshot, right?

Drummer? He's too drunk to catch stuff like that.

Actually,. I can't take credit (blame) for that. I saw some country guy - maybe it was on HeeHaw or something - say "Do you wanna hear a lotta guitar or a little guitar?" and then the crowd kinda catcalls and says "a little guitar" and he gets out a little octave guitar and rips the shit out of it. I love comedy when it's punctuated with instrumental virtuosity. Don't get to see it alot anymore. Most musicians take themselves far too seriously.

I say they don't call it "playing" for nothing.
