Is there a difference

I am going to buy a great river preamp but will the audio interface matter since Im only going to use the interface to record thru my computer? Like will a great river into a firebox still sound the same as a great river into a rme fireface 400?

The only difference should be in the A/D convertors.

I think that will depend on your ears and monitors more than anything.
