Making a Midi foot controller

Has anyone made a foot controller like the one here: http://www.behringer.com/FCB1010/index.cfm?lang=ENG

I have ableton live would love to use it midi foot controller in my band. The only problem is... im low on money...has anyone ever made one of these....or knows where the schematics for one would be?

the only problem is that the "Layout for Floorboard PCB made by MTE" link doesnt really give me wha it says."

Your answer is in the software.

Ableton have configured Live to accept most any midi controller or note message to control almost any function.

In my opinion it would cost MUCH more to build your own foot controller than it would to buy one of the Behringer ones you linked and figure out how to use it.
