The track really didn't go anywhere. It's seems like the whole track is an intro to something that never comes............. Oh yeah! Leave feed for others to Duke, don't just pop in when you have a track you want us to peep!

Here's what I'm saying. No matter what the "tune" is---Pop-Rock-R and B-Jazz-Classical-Hip Hop-Trip Hop-Techno-Rap-House-or whatever the vibe or jam is---you need something that the listener can "hook" onto or that the tune hooks onto the listener. It can be a repeating simple melody, a cool guitar lick, a unique drum groove or beat, a "blip" a "beep" a word----something that "takes" someone to a place where they can relate to and remember the "tune". In simple music biz lingo---it's the "kaching" that takes u to the bank!! The Hook!! Now---if you elect to do stuff that's more abstract and outside the realm of any genre that would be considered a "song" or "tune", that's cool--but it can't be judged as a "song" or "tune"----it is something that becomes a more "personal" expression----and like I said that's cool! So, what I feel is that if you are wanting me to judge this as something commercial---I'm saying it sounds like the beginning of something that's at a very embryonic stage and that it needs more evolution and developement (rhythmically, harmonically, melodically, lyrically---(take your pick)-------find the "hook" and when you do, or think you have got to that point---it might be easier to help you out by giving you much more tangible feedback, because your "tune" will be more complete and "tangible"-----it's like showing someone a camera and telling them you are going to take a photo, and asking them to critique your photo--------know what I'm saying?------good luck bro!-----post something when it's done----peace... |
