Question

I am satisfied with the quality of the effects. But I've still a doubt whether it would be an "aha"-effect suddenly listening to my productions with higher-end reverbs (Waves, TC, etc.).

I once read from a well-versed engineer "most engineers, even top name ones can't tell the quality difference in a mix"

So should I pay the big bucks and get them, and risk not being able to play 32 tracks with different compressors, reverbs, delays going on?

Since I haven't got the chance to listen in to demos, etc. (I live in africa and get only in summer to europe), I'd gladly hear for your opinion.

Thanks

Hans

The Waves compressors and reverbs sound Very nice, but they are hungry mothers, with 32 trax you'd want to be bussing so that you only need one of each FX running.

Before you buy try doing your Export in 32bit, that way all the FX you have now will come out with twice the clarity and depth (turn on the dither too of course) even if your soundcard won't record at 32bit you can still get 32bit processing out of you FX.

I'd also try some of the free plugins (there's links on the Steinberg site) there are some real beasts out there that cost ya zip

Personal Favs are;
Free Verb
Blue Line (all good esp the compressor)

As always the bottom line is 'do they work and sound good for you?'
