So, what's up with everyone today?

bout to leave work. then i play volleyball tonight at church. our team is now 4-3 after a 25-21, 19-25, 15-12 loss last week. we play speed points (points no matter who's serving) to 25, and a tie-breaker 3rd game to 15 if needed. very competitive. tonight we play the first place team, and i think we might win, they're pretty cocky.

that's about it.

lol.. I have this Mac Mini on my desk here... It's basically becoming my overgrown mp3 player...

I'm getting my tired ass ready to go to work where I'm a Professional Internet Surfer...lol Business has been slow so me and a few co-workers figured out how to hack into the SonicWall internet security at the job so we can surf the net .

just south of the Burg eh?? nice. that's where i'm at. Look me up in Dover. that's about 5 miles NW of York, towards Harrisburg. do you know exactly what area you'll be in?

hmmm.... open mics... lemme think. for what kind of "show"? poetry, a 'full' hiphop show, dj? there are a ton of coffee houses and bars around that host shows. and if you can't do a show, i can refer you to some tight shows in the area.

Well it's official... 2 days into class and we haven't learned shit about mastering. Just "what mastering really is" and "when to master", and "what not to do in the mix before sending it to master". Crap that I already know... this teacher sucks.... Though I don't even plan on being a mastering engineer anyhow. I let a fresh set of years and some professionals handle that part, that's what they are their for.

Anyways, now at work, bored out of my mind and wondering why the fu** my firefox browser is acting messed up.... it'll be fine, and then about 1 second later it lags and I can't see it typing... can't use Internet Explorer, cause it's slow as shit to load up websites on windows 2000....

So I got Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday booked in Studio G & Studio D. This should be fun. Feel like i'm playing a 5 game stretch in the NBA lmao. BTW, GO MAVS!

today, im getting packed and ready to hit the airplane to go up to chitown for a vaca. I like their dowtown but their sales tax is mad! so i'll crash indiana for the shopping. Finish selling the last few cd's left so i can go head and start re-ordering for the next batch. Other than that, im trying to learn to play video games cause i have no patience for sitiing their with a controller. The gears of war is tight and the blitz the league is crazy on 360 soooooo..... thats bout it.

On my linux machine here at work, I'll be having 10 tabs open...5 work related, 5 not... You know, surfing away...

Come back from the restroom or lunch and the whole window crashed and I have to load my 10 tabs all over again (about a 10 minute chore)..

We run windows 2000 here so it's pretty damn slow n e ways lol. On Dell Pentium 4's, but I get to have the duty to returning those dell releases, and replacing the systems with new HP systems.

How does everyone handle their drum patterns?

When I start a project.. like in Reason or something, after setting the bpm, my snare hits end up on 5 and 13 (16th notes)...

I figure that's pretty normal for modern Western 4/4 composition....

It's the kick patterns, in hip hop and r&b, that I find fascinating...

Any creative thoughts people?

I'll be in Chambersburg visiting family in the area (Greencastle, Shippensburg). How far is that from you?

In reason If I do use the ReDrums sequencer. 5 and 13 are ideal and a light velocity snare with flam all the way up on 16. That's on a 32 step beat. And I just find places for kicks...lol
