Does anyone elses buttons just stop working?

Just currious. THe delete button on my MR-8HD is off and on, usually off. This makes naming my tracks interesting to say the least.

The [PGM SELECT] button on my VF160 doesn't work some times. If it ever gives up the ghost I'm fucked. I won't be able to switch between songs.

My No Button

Hi,

Sometimes my No button doesn't take a press or two. I can always get it to work but sometimes I have to press hard.

Other times click click click just like nothing. Works perfect.

Does anyone have any input on the apparently common problem with the buttons?

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

They are cheap plastic, so they are going to break. The contact points beneath them are going to wear out too. I've been lucky that my MR-8 is pretty solid. So far, I've only had software related glitches that were fixed with updates.

But I've read on this forum and others about people having problems with all Fostex machines and the buttons.

I dropped a SM57 on my VF160 from about 12 inches and the jog wheel shot off. It took me a few minutes to find it. Snapped right back on.

Jog wheel problems

Hi,

Fortunately I don't have jog wheel problems. But it is touchy to use sometimes in normal operation.

On my VF160 I can use fast forward and rewind instead of the jog. Really helps when I'm making a CD-DA.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry
