Teac E-3 Demag...

Can this be used to bulk erase 1/4" tape, or should I just get the Han-D-Mag?

It depends on the machine. If it is just a small reel to reel then it should be fine, but for the much larger machines like Tascam, Studer, or Otari and 8 or 16 track machines then possibly you would benefit from a larger demagnetizer.

Hope this info helps

The E-3 is a great head demagnetizer, but it doesn't do bulk tape degaussing.

The bulk degaussers made by Radio Shack will easily do 1/4" tape and cassette. Look for models like the 44-233, 44-232 and 44-210 Tape Erasers.
