I think its interesting to see how other people set up their kits. Sometimes I'm like WTF are they thinking? But its all personal taste. To me, thats a weird spot for a kick-turned-floor-tom, but whatever works.

Interesting set-up you've got. Really big around floor-tom next to the snare is cool. I used to do that until I decided it was too much of a hassle to have so many drums ;-).
You've got the hats over by the floor toms, right? Cool kit. Here's mine, an older (80s?) Tama Swingstar set with a wide mix of cymbals (including a pair of amazing-sounding vintage Zildjians). Four-piece set-up for my current project: http://myspace-847.vo.llnwd.net/0152...22302847_l.jpg http://myspace-734.vo.llnwd.net/0152...22278734_l.jpg And the full 7-piece kit: http://myspace-697.vo.llnwd.net/0104...47260697_l.jpg |

oh and i got a different splash today. the one on my kit is a Zildjian 10" A splash, which i bought at a local music store used for a good price, but at the same time i had placed a bid on ebay for a Paiste 802 10" splash, not expecting to win, but i did! so the Paiste got here today, and i actually like it better! it's a little less dry, although has longer decay time, i think i prefer the Paiste for now...i'm gonna try and sell the Zildjian to my cousin!

the reso heads, kick and snare heads are original. the tom batter heads are Mapex, which are remos. the tom heads sound awesome though, the previous owner really knew how to tune em up! snare sounds nice too, a little ringy, but nice. oh but i do not like the kick at all! it needs a hole in the front, i think i'm gonna put Evans EMAD on it.

i was kind of scared about this splash at first, since it's 802 which is a budget line, but it actually has a cool sound that i like very much.
