MultiMix 8 FW Heat

We've set one of these up this morning and it's been running about an hour or so and the entire case is pretty hot to the touch. Seems very unusual.

Anybody else experiencing this???

Thanks. Apparently the bottom of the MM8 is a heat sink. Can't find any loose wiring to account for maybe something straying onto the chassis.

Interesting. I looked at one at GC yesterday and it was warm to the touch. Must be something with the 8 channel version.

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I thought the power supply was external, seems like that is what would heat up?!

I don't know waht you mean by the power supply, but ours is the "brick" kind, so I think that's waht you call external, yes?

my usb 8 gets really hot too (especially with phantom power on), but I've never had problems with it either, even when I accidentally left it on, and went to work.
